Manfred Schreiterer (born November 6, 1925 in Mylau , Vogtland , † August 1, 2008 in Bremen ) was a German diplomat .

Schreiterer came from a family of textile entrepreneurs from Vogtland. He studied engineering in Berlin , was at the city's Technical University in 1952 with the work the problem of measurement and the use of the capacity in the woolen spinning industry to Dr. rer. pole. PhD and later completed an MBA . He was in the diplomatic service of the Federal Republic of Germany and was Ministre conseiller in the Foreign Service, later Counselor for Science and Technology in the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the OECD. Manfred Schreiterer received several awards, including legal knight of the Order of St. John , Commandeur de Ordre des Palmes Académiques and the Order of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany .
