Manfred Zollner (born October 9, 1940 in Zandt , Upper Palatinate) is a German entrepreneur.

Life

Manfred Zollner created a company with over 11,000 employees from his electronics store founded in 1965, around 5,000 of them at German locations. As a senior partner , Manfred Zollner has continued to work for Zollner Elektronik AG , headquartered in Zandt, in the role of chairman of the supervisory board since leaving the board .

The largest company in the Cham district employed a total of 11,000 people in December 2018. The company currently has 19 locations, including 9 in Germany, two each in Hungary and Romania, and one each in China , Tunisia , the United States , Switzerland, Costa Rica and Hong Kong.

Honors

Manfred Zollner was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class in 1996, the Bavarian Order of Merit in 2001 and the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany at the end of 2010 . He is also the recipient of the State Medal for Special Services to the Bavarian Economy (2006) and the Citizens Medal (2000). He is an honorary citizen of the community of Zandt , the headquarters of his company, and the city of Furth im Wald .
