coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved on August 12, 1982.
Blazon : "In red growing out of a green three-mountain, a silver lock with a seven-step, black-roofed gable on the Pallas, seven black windows (round / two small / six large windows), flanked by two five-pinned towers with round and three corner windows, the left the towering six-sided, seven-pinned keep with three windows on the upper floor - the middle smaller, partially covering, in the right upper corner a black label with a silver right edge bar . "
Declaration of coat of arms: The silver lock is the Zandt Castle, which still dominates the townscape today, which is also expressed in the coat of arms. As early as the 13th century, a family of ministers named themselves after Zandt. In 1382 the Regensburg Bishopric awarded the Zandt Hofmark to the Sattelboger as a fiefdom; these were followed by various other owners. The black label with the silver edge bars shows the family coat of arms of the gentlemen von Gleißenthal from Windischeschenbach , who were the owners of Zandt for the long period from 1536 to 1851. The tinging of silver and red is derived from the colors of the Regensburg monastery. The green Dreiberg in Schildfuß refers to the location of the community in the Bavarian Forest.
