The Zollner Elektronik AG is a service provider in the field of contract manufacturing of electronic components (EMS), headquartered in Zandt . The company has branches in Germany, Hungary, Romania, China, Tunisia, the USA, Switzerland, Costa Rica and Hong Kong. The corporation is 100 percent family-owned and is one of the 15 most important EMS service providers worldwide.

Field of activity

The EMS service provider ( electronics service provider ) develops and produces individual parts, modules, devices and complex systems for customers in the industrial electronics, rail technology, automotive, medical technology, aerospace & defense, measurement technology, office electronics & data technology, other consumer goods and telecommunications sectors. In addition to development and production, Zollner offers services in the areas of engineering / NPI, supply chain management, material management, after sales service and repair service. In electronics, the company offers a wide range of options in the areas of electronic assemblies, cable assembly, inductive components and IPC certifications. The range of services in mechanics includes sheet metal processing, plastics technology, sample and fixture construction, CNC turning and milling technology, surface technology, electroplating, mold and tool construction. The field of analysis technology offers technologies and processes for finding the cause of errors and preventing errors. To date, more than 1,500 apprentices have been trained and taken on at Zollner Elektronik AG. With around 5,000 employees at the German locations, Zollner is the largest employer in the Cham region .

Products

As a manufacturing service provider, Zollner Elektronik AG does not have its own product - with one exception: “Tradinno” (a play on words made up of “tradition” and “innovation”), which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest four-legged walking robot in the world. The mechatronic system appears every year in Germany's oldest folk drama, the Further Drachenstich .

The company was founded in 1965 by the current chairman of the supervisory board, Manfred Zollner sen. founded as a one-man business. The executive board of Zollner Elektronik AG consists of Johann Weber (chairman), Ludwig Zollner (deputy chairman), Manfred Zollner jun. (Member of the Management Board), Christian Zollner (Member of the Management Board) and Thomas Schreiner (Member of the Management Board). The supervisory board consists of Manfred Zollner sen. (Chairman of the Supervisory Board), Ludwig Wanninger (Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board) and Manfred Huber (employee representative).

Locations

In Germany, Zollner Elektronik AG has nine production sites in the eastern Bavarian region in Zandt (I and II), Lam , Untergschwandt , Neukirchen b. Holy Blood , Altenmarkt (I, II and III) and Furth im Wald . Subsidiaries exist in Vác and Szügy (Hungary), Satu Mare (I and II) (Romania), Taicang (China), Beja (Tunisia), Milpitas (California USA), Hombrechtikon (Switzerland), Cartago (Costa Rica) and Kowloon Bay (Hong Kong).
