Manikavasagam Jegathesan

Manikavasagam Jegathesan (born November 2, 1943 in Kuala Kangsar ) is a former Malaysian sprinter .

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960, he was eliminated over 400 m in the preliminary run.

In 1962 he won gold over 200 m and silver over 100 m at the Asian Games in Jakarta .

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and the semi- finals over 200 m . In the 4 x 100 meter relay , he was eliminated in the first round.

In 1966 he was eighth over 220 yards at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston and failed over 440 yards in the lead. At the Asian Games in Bangkok he managed a triple victory over 100 m, 200 m and in the 4 x 100 m relay .

At the Olympic Games in 1968, he reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and the semi- finals over 200 m and in the 4-by-100-meter relay .
