Mantvydas Bekešius

Mantvydas Bekešius (born February 8, 1981 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian lawyer and politician , vice minister since 2014 .

Life

After High School on school Bekešius completed 1999-2003 Bachelor studies at the Lietuvos teisės universitetas and 2003 to 2005, the Master of Law at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas . From 2000 to 2001 he was a correspondent for the journal "Karys" at the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania . From 2001 to 2004 he was senior specialist in the PR department at the Ministry of Defense. From 2004 to 2007 he worked as a senior specialist in the Security Policy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania . From 2007 to 2009 he was Senior Specialist and from 2011 to 2012 as Senior Specialist in the Lithuanian Mission in Afghanistan . From 2012 to 2013 he was the senior specialist in the Department of Transatlantic Cooperation and Security Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania . In 2013 he was senior advisor on foreign affairs to Seimas Chairman Vydas Gedvilas . In 2014 he headed the secretariat of the Seimas chairwoman Loreta Graužinienė . Since August 27, 2014 he has been Deputy Minister, Deputy Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius in the Butkevičius cabinet .

Bekešius is a member of the Darbo partija (DP) party.

Bekešius taught as a lecturer at the Lietuvos karo akademija and was deputy chairman of the political youth organization ( Jaunimo organizacija DARBAS ) at the DP.

Bekešius is married.
