Manuel de Allendesalazar y Muñoz de Salazar (born August 24, 1856 in Guernica , † May 17, 1923 in Madrid ) was a Spanish politician and Prime Minister of Spain ( Presidente del Gobierno ) .

biography

Degree, MP and Senator

After finishing his school career, he began studying agricultural science . After graduating as an agricultural engineer in 1879, he initially worked as a professor at the School of Engineering ( Escuela de Ingeniería ).

He began his political career on April 27, 1884 with the first election as a member of the Congress of Deputies ( Congreso de los Diputados ), where he represented the interests of the Vizcaya constituency as a member of the Conservative Constitutional Party until March 5, 1893 .

In the election of April 10, 1898 he was elected a member of the Senate , in which he initially represented the province of Lleida in the electoral period from 1898 to 1899 , but was appointed Senator for life ( Senador Vitalicio ) by royal decree on May 2, 1900 has been.
