Manuel Berrer (born May 25, 1988 in Ried im Innkreis ) is an Austrian songwriter , singer and cabaret artist . He appears as a solo artist under the name daBerrer and with his band i Tüpfe Rider in Austria , Switzerland and Germany .

Life

Berrer grew up in Mettmach and attended elementary and secondary school there from 1994 to 2002. He then attended the technical college in Braunau am Inn until 2007 and in 2008 did military service with the pioneers in Salzburg . From 2008 to 2011 he worked as an automation technician and programmer . He then studied physics from 2011 to 2014 at the JKU Linz , from 2014 to 2017 at the LMU Munich . In 2017 he started his career in research / development. He has been an independent artist since 2017.

Artistic career

In 2006 Berrer founded his first hard rock band Downstairs , with which he released the album "Harley Davidson Night" in 2008. After the breakup of the Downstairs band, the band i Tüpfe Rider was founded in 2013 and in 2015 they released their first album “Hoathoiz”. In 2014 the band entered the national finals of the Local Heroes band contest. In 2017 he celebrated his premiere with his first solo program "Auspopt". With this program he won his first cabaret prizes in 2018 - the "Kufsteiner Salzfassl" and the "Salzburger Sprössling". In 2019 he released the second album "Ausm Woid" with i Tüpfe Rider .
