Manuel Hartmann (born March 26, 1984 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German former football player .
Career
At the beginning of his career, Manuel Hartmann played for SGV Freiberg in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg for two years , where he attracted the attention of higher-class clubs with good performances. After Hartmann had spent another two years with the regional league team Stuttgarter Kickers , he moved to TuS Koblenz after the 2006/07 season . There he played in the first team in the 2nd Bundesliga. At the start of the second half of 2009/10 Hartmann was appointed the team's new captain by coach Petrik Sander. He replaced Shefki Kuqi , who wore the captain's armband in the first half of the season.
After the relegation of Koblenz from the 2nd division Hartmann moved to FC Ingolstadt for the 2010/11 season . In May 2012, his contract was not renewed. On July 16, 2012 Hartmann signed a two-year contract with the northern German regional division Holstein Kiel . With Holstein Kiel Hartmann rose to the 3rd division . In 2014 the contract was extended to 2016.
After the 2015/16 season Hartmann Holstein left Kiel and moved to the Kiel district club TSV Schilksee , which had previously been relegated from the Regionalliga Nord. There he ended his active playing career in November 2016 after twelve league games and one goal, after he had also appeared as the team's assistant coach. The following year he appeared in the last season game of the Schleswig-Holstein League 2016/17 in a championship game of FC Kilia Kiel over the full 90 minutes; this was his last assignment as an active player.
In autumn 2017 at the latest, he switched to the 1. FC Köln as a youth coach , where he has been responsible for the youth B in the Mittelrheinliga ever since.
