Manuel Rödl (born September 23, 1982 ) is a former Austrian football player on the position of defender .

Career

Rödl started his career in his hometown Oberndorf near Salzburg and came to the Bundesliga youth center in Salzburg at the age of 14 . At the age of 18 he played with the amateurs of Austria Salzburg in the western league . In 2002 he made the leap into the fighting team , but did not appear in the Bundesliga. After he could not prevail in Salzburg, the 1.81 meter tall defender moved to Untersiebenbrunn in the former First Division . From January 1, 2004, Rödl was under contract with FC 07 in Lustenau , where he mostly played in central defense. Rödl was also the Lustenau team captain.

In the summer of 2010, Rödl moved within the first division and was under contract with SKN St. Pölten until he was released in March 2013 . From 2015 to 2017 he played for SV Bürmoos, a club in the 1st Salzburg regional league (5th Austrian level). Then worked there for a year as a trainer.
