Mara Pfeiffer

Mara Pfeiffer born Braun (* 1978 in Heidelberg ) is a German author and journalist .

Life

Mara Braun grew up in Erbach (Odenwald) . She spent the eleventh school year in the United States , where she attended high school in McComb , Mississippi . At that time , her interest in journalism was aroused , among other things by working on the school newspaper .

After graduating from high school in Michelstadt , Braun studied film studies and journalism at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . In addition to working at the university television, CampusTV , she did various internships during this time , for example at 3sat , ZDF and Südwestrundfunk . After graduating, Braun initially worked as an editor at 3sat and then completed a journalistic traineeship at the Rhein Main publishing group . There she then worked as an editor for the university and social media and later for the children's newspaper Kruschel . She has been working as a freelancer since 2013.

Mara Pfeiffer is a member of the German Academy for Football Culture .

In May 2017 she married the Wiesbaden writer Alexander Pfeiffer .
