Alexander Pfeiffer

Alexander Pfeiffer (born August 12, 1971 in Wiesbaden ) is a German writer .

Life

Alexander Pfeiffer studied German , comparative literature , journalism and English at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . He works as a freelance author , publisher , literature organizer, moderator and manager of writing workshops in schools and other educational institutions. He organized various series of readings and literature festivals in Wiesbaden and the Rhine-Main area (including the "Hessisch-Sächsischen Literaturtage" 2009 in Frankfurt am Main or the monthly literature show "Where the wild words are" from 1998 to 2006 in the Schlachthof cultural center ( Wiesbaden) ). Pfeiffer is a member of the Association of German Writers (VS) and of the German-language crime literature group Das Syndikat . From 2007 to 2014 he was the Hessian state chairman of the Association of German Writers (VS), from 2009 to 2012 jury secretary for the Friedrich Glauser Prize , the authors' crime prize , in the debut category.

Since 2012 he has been organizing the accompanying program to the annual Wiesbaden crime scholarship for the cultural office of the state capital Wiesbaden (2012 for Stefan Slupetzky , 2013 for Andrea Maria Schenkel , 2014 for Doris Gercke ).

In May 2017 he married the author Mara Pfeiffer .

Awards

In 2014 Pfeiffer received the Friedrich-Glauser-Preis , detective award of the authors, in the category of short crime novels for the story “On your Lids I sink slumber” (published in: “Küche, Diele, Mord”, publisher: Almuth Heuner, KBV-Verlag , Hillesheim 2013)
