The Marble Point ( English for marble point ) is a headland on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It protrudes around 5 km north of Cape Bernacchi into the McMurdo Sound and marks the northern boundary of Bernacchi Bay .
Participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907–1909) led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton mapped them and named them after the marble found there .
