Marcel Heister (born July 27, 1992 in Albstadt - Ebingen ) is a German football player who is primarily used in the offensive midfield .

Career

Marcel Heister began playing football in the youth of the lower class club TSV Gammertingen before moving to the youth department of SSV Reutlingen . In the summer of 2010 he moved from the A-Jugend of SSV, for which he had scored six goals in 21 games in the 2009/10 season, to the second team of Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the Regionalliga Süd . Initially, however, he only played for the TSG A-youth team in the U-19 Bundesliga in the 2010/11 season and scored two goals in 19 missions. On May 13, 2012, the 32nd matchday of the 2010/11 Regional League season , Heister made his first appearance for the second team when he played for Wilson in the 49th minute in the home game against Karlsruher SC II (1: 5) Kamavuaka was substituted on. In the following season 2011/12 he came to 25 regional league appearances, but could not conquer a regular place and was mostly only used as a substitute.

At the end of August 2012, Heister moved to the Croatian first division club NK Zadar and signed a four-year contract until the end of June 2016. On September 1, 2012, the 7th matchday of the 2012/13 season , he made his debut in professional football when he played at home against NK Istra 1961 (1: 1) came on in the 78th minute for Mario Bilen .

From March 2015 to 2016 he was then under contract with NK Istra in 1961 , before moving to Beitar Jerusalem and playing in the Ligat ha'Al for two years . Since July 2018 he has been playing for Ferencváros Budapest .
