Only a few works by Lanquetuit have survived; On the one hand, he preferred improvisation; on the other, a fire in his house in 1940 destroyed a large part of his work. His reputation as a composer is based primarily on a toccata in D major that was published by Alphonse Leduc in Paris in 1927 . It is dedicated to Albert Dupré; its continuous staccato chords are reminiscent of Marcel Dupré's Variations sur un Noël.
