Marcel Rodriguez

Marcel Rodriguez (born August 3, 1984 in Asunción ) is a Paraguayan- German actor .

Life

Marcel Rodriguez grew up in his hometown of Asunción. He studied acting at the Zurich University of the Arts and graduated with a Master of Arts in summer 2010 . While still a student, he made guest appearances at the Theater am Neumarkt Zurich and the Theater Heidelberg in 2010 .

In the production Der Biberpelz at the Mecklenburg State Theater Schwerin in the production by Herbert Fritsch , which was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2011 , Rodriguez played the role of Dr. Butcher. This was followed by a permanent engagement at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin from 2010 to 2012.

After his permanent position, Rodriguez made guest appearances at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and the Stadttheater Koblenz , where he was seen in The Robbers by Schiller as Spiegelberg in the production by Christian Schlueter. At the Altona Theater he appeared as Stu Sutcliff in Backbeat , staged by Joseph Dieken.

In 2017 he played alongside Clemens Schick and Anne Schäfer in the German series Der Barcelona-Krimi , directed by Jochen Alexander Freydank . Rodriguez was also seen in 2018 in Matula - Tod auf Mallorca , directed by Daniel Helfer.

Since 2019, Rodriguez has played the public prosecutor Leo Ramirez in the Chilean-German series Dignity , a.o. , filmed on the original locations in Chile . a. with Devid Striesow , Götz Otto and Antonia Zegers. Dignity is a series production commissioned jointly by the Latin American television broadcaster Mega Chile with Joyn , which is to be published internationally as the first series produced by Joyn itself. In October 2019, the first excerpts from Dignity were published at the MIPCOM TV fair in Cannes .
