Marcel Schwerzmann

Marcel Schwerzmann (born January 15, 1965 in Lucerne ; resident in Lucerne and Risch ) is a Swiss politician ( non-party ).

From 1987 he studied business administration at the University of St. Gallen and was a tax administrator for the Canton of Lucerne . Since 2007 he has been a member of the Lucerne government . From 2007 to 2019 he headed the finance department, and since 2019 he has been responsible for the education and culture department. Marcel Schwerzmann was President of the Canton of Lucerne in 2011. From July 2016 to June 2017 he was again President of the Government.

Schwerzmann is President of the Swiss IT Conference and a member of the E-Government Steering Committee.

Schwerzmann is in a relationship, has a son and lives in Kriens.
