Fabian Peter

Fabian Peter (born August 5, 1976 ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ). He has been a member of the government of the Canton of Lucerne since 2019 and heads the building, environmental and economic departments.

Political career

At the age of 27, Peter was elected to the Inwil municipal council. There he held the office of mayor until his election to the government council. From 2015 to 2019, Peter was also a Cantonal Councilor in Lucerne.

In the Lucerne cantonal and government council elections on March 30, 2019, he was elected to the government council with 56,485 votes. The absolute majority was 54,369 votes.

Life

Fabian Peter is a trained plumbing and heating draftsman as well as a dipl. HVAC engineer. Before taking office as a member of the Lucerne government, he and his brother ran the company Vinzenz Peter AG in the third generation.

Peter is married and has two children. He lives with his family in Inwil.
