Marcella Mesker (born May 23, 1959 in The Hague ) is a former Dutch tennis player .

Career

Mesker became a professional player in 1981. She reached her highest world rankings with rank 31. At the WTA tournament in Pittsburgh , she won the doubles competition in 1984.

She had her last appearance on the ladies tour in 1988 at the US Open , where she had to give up her first-round game in doubles alongside compatriot Ingelise Driehuis against Steffi Graf and Gabriela Sabatini .

From 1979 to 1987 Mesker played 43 games in the Federation Cup for the Netherlands , of which she was able to win 25.

Today Mesker works as a commentator for the Dutch television station NOS . She is also the owner of a company that organizes various tennis events, including the ATP Challenger tournament in Scheveningen , as well as readings and company events.
