Marcello Lippi (singer)

Marcello Lippi (* 1957 in Genoa ) is an Italian baritone , artistic director and literary scholar .

education

Marcello Lippi studied singing at the Paganini Music Academy in Genoa. After successfully completing his degree, he also received private tuition from Fernando Bandera , Tristano Illersberg and Giuseppe Murmura . He also received his PhD in modern literary studies from the University of Genoa .

Artistic work

As an opera singer (baritone), Lippi made his debut at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro from 1988 onwards. In the following years he sang at well-known and major stages around the world, including the Berlin State Opera , the Munich State Opera , the Barcelona Opera , the Vienna State Opera , the Basel Opera House , the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City and in the Arena di Verona .

Lippi is the artistic director and overall artistic director of the Teatro Sociale di Rovigo .
