The Marchington River is a right tributary of the English River in the Canadian province of Ontario .

The Marchington River has its origin in Conant Lake . It flows over a number of lakes, including Staunton Lake , Grebe Lake , Kashaweogama Lake , Fairchild Lake , Farrington Lake , Schist Lake , Kimmewin Lake , Stranger Lake , Marchington Lake, and Botsford Lake , in a predominantly westward direction through the Canadian Shield . The important tributaries Sturgeon River and North River flow into Marchington Lake . Finally, the Marchington River flows 8 km east of Sioux Lookout into Abrams Lake , through which the English River flows. The Marchington River has an average discharge of 37 m³ / s below Marchington Lake . Its length is about 150 km.
