Marco Benfatto (born January 6, 1988 in Camposampiero ) is an Italian track and road cyclist.

Career

Marco Benfatto became the Italian junior track cycling champion in 2006 in team sprint and scratch. On the road, he won a stage in the junior version of the Giro della Toscana in 2006 . In the 2012 season he won a stage at the Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia and at the Giro Ciclistico d'Italia . At the end of the season he drove for the UCI ProTeam Liquigas-Cannondale as a stagiaire and from 2013 for the Continental Team Astana . In 2014 he moved to the Continental Team Astana and after two years there to Androni Giocattoli . For 2020 he got a contract with Bardiani CSF Faizanè .

Up to and including 2019, Benfatto achieved numerous stage victories in tours , he was particularly successful in Asia . He won eight stages in the Tour of China , seven stages in the Tour of China II and also their overall ranking in 2016, two stages in the Tour of Qinghai Lake in 2014 and two stages in the Tour of Taihu Lake in 2019 . In 2018 he decided a stage of the Tour of Hainan for himself and in 2019 a stage of the Tour de Langkawi .
