Marco Colombin (born January 8, 1989 in Trieste ) is a former Italian grass skier . He started for the Sci Club 70 Trieste and from 2006 was a member of the squad of the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI).

Career

In the 2004 season Colombin took part in FIS races for the first time, from 2005 he will also start in the World Cup . In the 2005 season he was among the fastest 30 in all six World Cup races, placing him in 19th place in the overall standings, tied with his compatriot Alessandro Rinaldi . His best individual results were 13th place in the combination of Forni di Sopra and 15th place in the second slalom of L'Aquila . In the same year he also took part in a junior world championship for the first time , finishing 17th in the giant slalom and the super-G. He couldn't finish the slalom and thus the combination. At the Junior World Championship 2006 in Horní Lhota u Ostravy , his only result was 17th in the Super-G. In 2006 he completed his most successful season in the World Cup . In three races he was among the fastest 15, with his best result being twelfth place in the second Super-G of Forni di Sopra. In the overall World Cup he reached 17th place.

In the 2007 World Cup season , Colombin only scored points in the two races in Marbachegg , causing him to drop to 25th place overall. He fared better at the Junior World Championships in Welschnofen . Here he reached fifth place in the giant slalom and eighth in the Super-G. A year later he finished tenth in the slalom and giant slalom as well as 15th in the Super-G at the 2008 Junior World Championships in Rieden . In the World Cup he started in the 2008 season only in the two races in Forni di Sopra, in which, however, he did not reach the finish. Also in the 2009 season he only took part in the World Cup races in Forni di Sopra. He dropped out again in the giant slalom, and came 18th in the super combined. This brought him to 52nd place in the overall World Cup. At the 2009 Junior World Championships in Horní Lhota, he finished eleventh in the Super-G and in the Super Combined. In slalom and giant slalom, he was disqualified after peat errors in the first run. In 2009 Colombin was Italian junior champion in slalom, super-G and super-combined. After 2009 he did not take part in any competitions.
