Marco Salvi (born April 4, 1954 in Sansepolcro , Arezzo province , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and appointed Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Perugia-Città della Pieve .

Life

Marco Salvi first studied at the University of Florence , where he graduated in 1979 with a degree in architecture . In 1978 he entered the seminary in Arezzo and began the study of Catholic Theology at the Theological Faculty of Florence . Salvi received on 28 May 1983, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Marco Salvi then worked as pastor in Galbino before he became pastor in Tavernelle in 1984 . Since 1999 he was provost of San Bartolomeo in Anghiari and taught art history at the local high school. In addition, Salvi was president of the diocesan institute for the care of the clergy for two terms from 1993 to 2005.

On 15 February 2019 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Termae Himerae and auxiliary bishop in Perugia-Città della Pieve. The episcopal ordination is planned for March 31st.
