Marcos Andrés González Salazar (born June 9, 1980 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) is a former Chilean football player who was used in the central defensive position.

Career

society

González began his career in the capital of Chile, in Santiago de Chile at Universidad , where he was initially in the second team. He then moved within America via Rangers Talca , the CA Colón and CD Palestino to the Columbus Crew , where he made his debut against Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer on April 1, 2006 (1: 3). In total, he made one goal in 48 games for the Americans. In 2008 González moved to CD Universidad Católica , where he was able to score five goals in 50 games. After three years there, his ex-club, Universidad de Chile , signed him for 290,000 euros. He only stayed there for a year, however, because then he moved to Flamengo Rio de Janeiro in Brazil for 745,000 euros . In two years there he was able to make 61 games and two goals. He made his debut in the Série A on May 19, 2012 in a 1-1 draw against Sport Recife . In 2014 he moved to Unión Española , where he became a regular player and scored three goals in 31 games. About Club Necaxa , where he made 57 games and five goals, he moved to his former club CD Palestino. In half a year there he made one goal in 12 games. In January 2018 he announced the end of his career.

National team

González became a national player for the Chilean national team in 2002 . In total, he made two goals in 26 games there. But he was never in a big tournament.
