Career
Eton Road

2012: Debut album and Hairspray
In January 2012, Collins signed a recording deal with RCA Records and announced his debut album for March of this year. On January 21, 2012, it was announced that his debut single would be a cover version of The White Stripes' song Seven Nation Army . This was published on March 4th. It is a direct copy of the cover version of the song that Ben l'Oncle Soul had recently recorded in Europe and which has been a hit in Europe. The single reached number nine on the British music charts , while the album Marcus Collins , which was released on March 12, even landed in seventh place. "Mercy" was released as the second single in June. This was quite unsuccessful and only reached the 194th position in the British charts due to poor marketing.
On October 16, 2012 it was announced that Collins would appear as Seaweed Stubbs in the UK tour of the musical Hairspray from February to September 2013. He then took part in a charity parachute jump with other celebrities like Beth Tweddle and Jazmine Franks, which helped them break a world record.
After 2013
He has also appeared in the musical Kinky Boots at The Adelphi Theater London alongside Matt Henry and Killian Donnelly. In September 2013, Collins announced that he had left RCA and signed a new record deal: "It was all mutually agreed. To be honest, it just didn't feel like we were going in the same direction. I loved working with them but it just got to a point where we both could go either way. " About his upcoming album, he said he would be spending “most of October” in the recording studio and saying “We've got about seven or eight songs that we're going to put down. We've got some new tracks and we've got some acoustic ones that are a little bit different. [Acoustic songs are] something that I've done before, but the record label I was with previously had different ideas and that's kind of why we separated. " To date (as of April 2020) no new albums or singles have been released, but Collins has repeatedly participated in musical productions.
