Marcus Hanikel (born May 10, 1983 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .

Marcus Hanikel's first stop as a footballer was the traditional club FC Stadlau in the Vienna City League . He moved from the youth team of FC Tirol Innsbruck to the professional team of SC Untersiebenbrunn . From Lower Austria we went back to Tyrol to WSG Wattens . In 2002 he made his comeback in the Tyrolean capital at the newly founded FC Wacker Tirol . When he could not prevail again with the Tyroleans, his way to SC Austria Lustenau took him . In 2004 he moved back to SC Untersiebenbrunn in the second-class first division .

From the 2005/2006 season, the striker played for SV Mattersburg in the Bundesliga . Since 2007 he has been involved with FC Admira Wacker Mödling (previously with the fusion club SK Schwadorf ). In the summer of 2011 he moved to SV Grödig .
