Marcus Niehaves
Marcus Niehaves (born August 18, 1974 in Offenburg ) is a German television presenter and reporter on ZDF .
Life
Niehaves did his Abitur at the Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium . From 1993 he worked as a freelancer for the Marbacher Zeitung . From 1996 to 1997 he studied communication science , politics and philosophy at the University of Essen . Meanwhile he worked on the university radio. In 1997 he continued his studies in communication science at the University of Hohenheim in Baden-Württemberg . In 1998 he went to Vienna for a semester abroad . In 2002 he completed his diploma thesis on the topic of news values in sports reporting. An investigation using the case study of the reporting of the Olympic Games 2002 on ZDF .
From 2001 to 2011 Marcus Niehaves worked as a reporter in the ZDF regional studio in Baden-Württemberg. At the same time, he taught communication science at the University of Hohenheim from 2008 to 2011. Marcus Niehaves has been working for the ZDF business magazine WISO since 2011 . In addition, from 2011 to 2016 he presented the programs WISO plus on the TV channel ZDFinfo and, as a representative, the television magazine macro from 2015 on 3sat . From November 1, 2016, Niehaves took over the editorial management of WISO magazine and became its main presenter. He succeeded Martin Leutke , whom he had already represented in previous years. On November 7, 2016, Niehaves made his first appearance as a presenter of the show.
In addition to his work as a reporter and presenter, Niehaves has already produced over ten documentaries for ZDF.
