Marcus Piehl (born August 23, 1985 in Linköping ) is a Swedish freestyle swimmer .

Career

Piehl was twice short-course and once long-course European champion with the Swedish freestyle relay. In 2006, when he won the European short course title with the 4 × 50 m freestyle relay, he set a new world record together with Stefan Nystrand , Petter Stymne and Jonas Tilly . This could be improved a year later at the European Short Course Championships 2007 in Debrecen .
