Marcus Rieck

Marcus Rieck (* 1977 ) is a German jazz drummer.

From 1997 to 2002 Rieck studied jazz drums at the Cologne University of Music with Keith Copeland . Since then he has worked a. a. with Tom Gaebel , Nils Wülker , Silvia Droste , John Marshall , John Goldsby , Olaf Polziehn and Lyambiko ; He also toured with Wolf Maahn , Richard Bargel and Klaus "Major" Heuser and worked for various radio and television stations. Currently (2014) Rieck u. a. in the Benjamin Schaefer Trio with François de Ribaupierre , Benjamin Schaefer and Steve Klink . In the field of jazz he was involved in six recording sessions between 2000 and 2010, including a. with Lars Duppler . He works as a répétiteur for the dance course at the Cologne University of Music and has been teaching at the Klangwerk music school since 2003.
