Marek Kaljumäe (born February 18, 1991 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian football player . The midfielder plays for JK Tallinna Kalev in the Estonian Meistriliiga .
Career
society
Marek Kaljumäe started his career at SC Real in Estonia at the age of seven. In his youth he was awarded to JK Kaitseliit Kalev and JK Nõmme Kalju for a short time . In 2009 Kaljumäe moved from the youth of SC Real to the Dutch first division club AZ Alkmaar after successful trial training . There he continued to play in the youth and was later a few times in the squad of the professional team. In Alkmaar he had contact with the Estonian international and captain Ragnar Klavan who was under contract there at the same time. During the time he spent in the Netherlands , he played 16 games while on loan to Telstar in the Eerste Divisie . He made his debut there against Helmond Sport . In 2011 Kaljumäe returned to Estonia after the contract expired and signed with FC Levadia Tallinn . He made his debut for Levadia in the Meistriliiga in the league game against FC Kuressaare after he was substituted on for the Lithuanian Povilas Šarunas . With Levadia he subsequently won one of the two cup competitions in Estonia, the 2012 Cup and the 2013 Supercup .
National team
Marek Kaljumäe made his first international match for Estonia in the U-18s in April 2008 against Latvia. By the end of the year he came on three more missions in which he could score a goal against Finland. From 2009, games in the higher U-19 age group followed, including numerous in an international game round. In 2010 Kaljumäe made his debut under German coach Frank Bernhardt in the Estonian U-21 at the Baltic Cup against Latvia . In his fourth game he was able to mark the first goal for the youth selection of the Estonians against Azerbaijan . Since 2010 it has been an integral part of the U-21, which previously also applied to the U-19.
