Palloseura Kemi Kings are a Finnish football club based in the city of Kemi , Lapland . The association was founded on October 21, 1999 as a merger of the associations Kemin Palloseura (KePS), Kemin Pallotoverit-85 (KPT-85) and Visan Pallo. The teams continue to take part in club football with their youth teams. After being promoted to the second-class Ykkönen for the first time in the 2008 season , the club rose again to the third division, Kolmonen, after the 2011 season. After the renewed promotion to the Ykkönen for the 2014 season, the march through to the Veikkausliiga could surprisingly be celebrated in this. For the 2016 season , the club started in the first Finnish league, in which they managed to stay in league with 9th place.
