Margaret Heckel (born June 6, 1966 in Heilbronn ) is a German economist, author and presenter.

Act

Margaret Heckel studied economics in Heidelberg and Amherst , Massachusetts . Then visited the Georg von Holtzbrinck School for Business Journalists and then worked for almost ten years for the Wirtschaftswoche . She then worked as a correspondent in Leipzig and Moscow, among others. Heckel was Head of Politics at Financial Times Deutschland from 1999 to 2006. In 2009 she wrote her first book about Angela Merkel's leadership style . For Springer Verlag she headed the Politics of the World , Welt am Sonntag and Berliner Morgenpost division . In 2002, Heckel received the Ludwig Erhard Foundation's sponsorship award .

Heckel gives lectures on demographic change as an opportunity for companies. One of her new topics is the effects of new forms of work (“ Work 4.0 ”) on companies and employees. As an expert in various fields of business and politics, Heckel repeatedly appears in television reports. In 2016 she moderated the Golden Internet Prize in Berlin. In 2019 she started the podcast Life for the advanced "for pioneers, discoverers and inventors in the second half of life" .
