Margret Fürer

Margret Fürer (born November 27, 1927 in Gießen ; † March 18, 2012 ) was a German singer and cabaret artist .

Career

Fürer first studied music for several semesters at the Folkwang University in Essen .

From 1950 to 1953 she was in the ensemble of the cabaret "Die Amnestierten", which was founded in Kiel in 1947, and went on tour with him. From October 1953 she was a singer in the group "The Penny Pipers", where she appeared alongside Herbert Dentler , Ulrich Rose and Paul Rumpen; from the 1960s also with the "Dentler-Terzett".

On January 20, 1958, she took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 1958 in the Kleine Westfalenhalle in Dortmund .

In 1958 she also recorded songs with Bill Ramsey and the Hazy Osterwald Sextet. In 1966 she took part with the Penny Pipers at the German Schlager Festival in Baden-Baden and came 11th with the song Gammelshake .
