Birth of Mary (Lebenhan)
The Roman Catholic Curate Church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary is the village church of Lebenhan , a district of Bad Neustadt an der Saale in the Lower Franconian district of Rhön-Grabfeld . The church is one of the architectural monuments of Bad Neustadt an der Saale and is registered under the number D-6-73-114-205 in the Bavarian list of monuments . The Kuratie Lebenhan is part of the parish community of St. Martin Brend .
history
Lebenhan has always belonged to the parish of Brend , the original parish of this area. The church is essentially medieval and was renovated in 1748.
description
The church tower stands as a choir tower in the east. He has a pointed helmet and arched sound windows . Its basement is the choir , which is separated from the nave by a round choir arch . The nave has five arched windows on the south side and three arched segment windows on the north side . The western wall of the nave ends with a triangular gable.
Furnishing
The two-pillar high altar with side figures is the only altar in the church. The altarpiece above the tabernacle probably depicts Our Lady .
