Assumption of Mary (spelled shards)
The Mariä Himmelfahrt hospital chapel in Dinkelscherben , a municipality in the Swabian district of Augsburg ( Bavaria ), was built in the 1600s. The chapel at Spitalgasse 2 is a protected architectural monument .
description
The chapel on the corner between the south and the east wing of the hospital was on October 16, 1605 consecrated . The former altarpiece, now attached to the side wall next to the entrance, was created by Johnn Rottenhammer the Elder from Augsburg around 1620. The chairs with carved cheeks were purchased between 1725 and 1730. The neo-Gothic design took place in 1851. The chapel was renovated in 2018.
