Maria Dinulescu

Maria Dinulescu (born May 2, 1981 in Ploieşti ) is a Romanian actress .

Life

Maria Dinulescu studied at the Faculty of Drama, Theater and Film of the National University of Theater and Film Arts "Ion Luca Caragiale" and graduated in 2003. She became internationally known just a year later when Trafic , in which she played the leading role, was awarded the Palme d'Or for best short film at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival . She also played the leading female role in California Dreamin ' , which won the Un Certain Regard competition in Cannes in 2007 . For her role in Picnick - Pescuit sportiv (alternative title: Hooked ) she received several awards in 2008.

She was the protagonist in the 2009 music video for Peace by Depeche Mode .

Maria Dinulescu holds a Masters Degree in Japanese Culture and Theater .
