Maria Guadalupe Graillet Moctezuma
Maria Moctezuma (born September 14, 1983 in Villahermosa ) is a Mexican singer, guitarist, composer and creator of the musical genre Raizoso.
biography
Maria Moctezuma was born in Villahermosa ( Tabasco ) as the daughter of two Veracruzians . Your place of residence is between Mérida and Berlin .
She was raised strictly Catholic and attended the girls' school, where she learned to play the guitar and composed songs from early childhood. She started studying communication sciences in Tabasco, but moved to the Yucatán Peninsula in 2006 .
Musical career
Maria Moctezuma is a representative of New Mexican Music and the creator of Sonido Raizoso , a crossover genre of Latin American rhythms and instruments.
In her artistic development on a national and international level, Moctezuma represents various cultural roots of Mexico through her music. A bossa nova / cumbia , a jarana / rock or a polka / reggae, accompanied by the timbres of an ocarina or a giant sea snail, are part of Moctezuma's earthy sound creations. She also plays guitar, accordion and zampoña and is accompanied by musicians.

Albums
Maria Moctezuma's first production entitled Revolución Folklórica was released in 2011 as a result of the influence of the Mayan culture lived in Mérida and consists of a compilation of 11 songs and a story. The album was recorded in Studio 4:23 in Mérida. The diffusion tour took place in several cities in Mexico and Japan , including Tokyo and Osaka .
Her second album, Tierra Animal , was largely created during the tour of her album Revolución Folklórica and presents a wealth of representative rhythms from different parts of Mexico and the world, enriched with Latin American fusions and instrumental interpretations.
Her third album, entitled Palpitará , was made at the time of a spiritual awakening, which is reflected in this musical production, and whose first single was the song Hanal Pixán . Maria Moctezuma made several international tours for this album. The first, Flor del Volcán, diffused the official video clip of the same name, filmed between Colima and Jalisco . Further tours took her to the USA and Europe (Germany, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Spain).
