Maria Wisser (* approx. 1964 in Allentown , Pennsylvania ) is a former American track cyclist .

From 1979, Maria Wisser was a Pennsylvania Champion several times, and in 1980 and 1981 she was national champion. In 1983 and 1985, she finished third at the US track championships in the time trial . Contrary to her hopes, she was not nominated by the association for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles , to which - although in her own country - only two road racers were sent. In 1985 she was a member of the national team, started at the World Track Championships in Bassano del Grappa and finished ninth in the sprint . In 1986 she became national sprint champion and 1987 runner-up in time trial.

In 1988 Wisser had to end her cycling career because her two previous sponsors stopped promoting cycling.
