The Banquière is a small river in France that runs in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises under the name Ruisseau de Péloubié on the southwest flank of Mont Férion (1412 m) in the municipality of Levens , generally drains south to southeast, changes its name several times to Ruisseau de Gorge Obscure and Rio Rec , and finally reaches the urban area of Nice and flows here after 19 kilometers as a right tributary into the Paillon .
