The mouth of the Paillon

The Paillon is a coastal river in France that runs in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises under the name Ruisseau de Bomerei in the municipality of Lucéram , generally drains in a south-westerly direction and flows into the Mediterranean after 36 kilometers on the southern outskirts of Nice . In the estuary area, the river runs largely underground.
