Cantaron is a French commune in the Alpes-Maritimes in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nice and the Canton of Contes . The residents call themselves Cantarois .
geography
The village is served by the Tendabahn - through a shared train station with Drap . The other neighboring communities are La Trinité , Nice , Tourrette-Levens , Châteauneuf-Villevieille , Contes and Blausasc .
history
The community was created in 1911 when Châteauneuf resp. the future Châteauneuf-Villevieille .
