Bendejun is a French commune in the Alpes-Maritimes in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nice and the Canton of Contes . The residents call themselves Bendejunois.
geography
The community is located 18 kilometers north of Nice in the French Maritime Alps . The other neighboring communities are Coaraze in the north, Contes in the east, Châteauneuf-Villevieille in the south, Tourrette-Levens in the southwest, Levens in the west.
history
Bendejun was created in 1911 when Châteauneuf resp. what was later to become the municipality of Châteauneuf-Villevieille in the south.
