Villars-sur-Var is a French commune in the Alpes-Maritimes in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Vence in the Arrondissement of Nice . The residents call themselves the Villarois.

The village is located in the Maritime Alps on the left side of the river Var and by the department of roads connected D26 and D226 to the national road network. The latter branches off from the former in the village center. Part of the municipality marker is to the right of the river.
