Mairie Cuébris

Cuébris is a French commune in the Alpes-Maritimes in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nice and the Canton of Vence .

Because of its location, it was an important fortified checkpoint, the walls of which were only demolished in 1760 with the Treaty of Turin . During the War of the Spanish Succession , it was defended against enemy attacks by a company of the Régiment de La Reine in June 1704 for seven days.

Cuébris is located in the French Maritime Alps . The neighboring municipalities are La Penne , Saint-Antonin and Ascros in the north, Pierrefeu in the east, Roquestéron and Sigale in the south, Sallagriffon in the west and Saint-Pierre in the north-west.
