Ilonse

Ilonse is a French commune in the Alpes-Maritimes in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nice , the Canton of Tourrette-Levens and the Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur . The residents call themselves the Ilonsois.

geography

The municipality is located in the French Maritime Alps , 72 km from Nice . It borders in the north on Roure and Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée , in the northeast on Rimplas and Valdeblore , in the east on Marie , in the southeast on Clans (point of contact) and Bairols , in the south on Massoins (point of contact) and Villars-sur-Var , in the south-west on Thiéry and Lieuche , in the west on Pierlas and in the north-west on Roubion . The Tinée River runs along the eastern municipal boundary .
