Toudon is a French commune in the Alpes-Maritimes in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Vence in the Arrondissement of Nice . The residents call themselves Toudonnais.

geography

In the south, the river Estéron forms the border with the commune of Les Ferres . The other neighboring communities are Malaussène in the north, Tourette-du-Château in the east, Gilette in the southeast and Pierrefeu in the west.

The names "Castrum de Todon" and "Villa Thodoni" date from the 11th century.
