Bonson is a French commune in the Alpes-Maritimes in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nice and the Canton of Vence . It is also a member of the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolis . The inhabitants call themselves the Bosnonnois.

The commune is located in the French Maritime Alps and borders in the north on Revest-les-Roches , in the northeast on Utelle , in the east on Levens , in the southeast on La Roquette-sur-Var , in the south on Gilette and in the west on Tourette-du- Château .
