Marian Biskup

Marian Biskup (born December 19, 1922 in Inowroclaw , † April 16, 2012 in Toruń ) was a Polish historian .

Life

Marian Biskup taught as professor of Late Medieval Polish and Baltic History at the Institute for History of the Polish Academy of Sciences at the University of Toruń . He was head of the Department for the History of Eastern Pomerania. His main research interests were the history of Prussia , Pomerania and the Baltic Sea region as well as the history of the Teutonic Order . Biskup was a member of the International Commission for Research on the Teutonic Order.
