Marian Christof Gruber OCist (born March 10, 1961 in Neunkirchen ) is an Austrian priest monk of the Cistercian monastery of Heiligenkreuz and a philosopher .

Life

He attended the high schools of the Redemptorists in Katzelsdorf and the Salesians Don Boscos in Unterwaltersdorf and the commercial school in Baden near Vienna . After graduating from high school in 1983, he entered Heiligenkreuz. Since 1985 he has been dealing with the philosophy of values ​​in cooperation with the international institute "STUDIA" in Laxenburg. Since 1982 he has been a board member of the Society for Christian Social Doctrine and Politics in Vienna. He completed his studies (1984–1988) at the Heiligenkreuz University of Applied Sciences as a Magister Theologiae . He studied at the Basic and Integrative Science Faculty of the University of Vienna from 1988 to 1992. He was chaplain in Wiener Neustadt , chaplain in Podersdorf and church rector von Gols . In 1991 he was promoted to Dr. theol. PhD at the University of Vienna. In 1997 he became a Dr. phil. PhD. Since 1992 he has been pastor of Mönchhof and since 2008 he has been pastor of Trumau . Since 2000 he has been professor of logic and epistemology at the Heiligenkreuz University of Applied Sciences, where in 2007 he is also head of the Institute for Philosophy.
